Where the money goes

Gear is optional, the gathering is free, and every dollar left after costs is given away. Here is exactly how that works — and what we have given so far.

The promise

100% of the net proceeds from this order are donated to a worthy cause close to our hearts. Cost of goods is covered first; nothing goes to organizers. Contact us privately for details and donation information.

No organizer is paid from gear money. Nobody takes a stipend, a reimbursement for their time, or a cut of an order. If a run does not clear its costs, we say so here instead of quietly rounding it up.

How a dollar moves

  1. Step 1

    You pay at checkout

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details, and we do not take a cut at the register.

  2. Step 2

Cost of goods comes out first

Printing, patches, stickers, shipping to us, and payment processing fees are paid from the order total. Those are hard costs, not profit.

  3. Step 3

What is left is net proceeds

Whatever remains after cost of goods and fees is net proceeds. Organizers take no pay, no reimbursement for their time, and no expense draw.

  4. Step 4

100% of net proceeds are given away

The full net amount is donated to a worthy cause close to our hearts. Contact us privately for details and donation information.

  5. Step 5

    We publish the result

After a run is closed out and the gift is sent, we post the batch, the net amount given, and the date on this page.

Giving updates

We post an update after each run is closed out. While a run is open the amount stays blank on purpose — we would rather show you nothing than show you a guess.

    Net given: Not final yet

Open. Orders are being collected now and gear is handed over at gatherings. Once the run is closed out and cost of goods is settled, the net amount and the date it was given will be posted here.

Straight answers

Do I have to buy anything to train with you?

No. The gathering is free and always will be. Gear is optional and is not a membership or a donation requirement.

Are you a nonprofit?

No. We are a Connect Group, not a registered charity, and we do not issue tax receipts. Orders through The Armory are purchases, not tax-deductible donations.

Can I just give money instead of buying gear?

We are not running a public fundraiser or collecting donations through this site. If you want to give directly, contact us and we will point you to the recipient so your gift goes straight to them.

Why not name the cause on the site?

The people involved asked us to keep it off a public page. We will tell you privately — reach out through the contact page and ask.

How do I know the numbers are real?

Every closed-out run gets posted below with the batch, the net amount, and the date. If a number here does not match what you were told at a gathering, ask an organizer and we will correct it.

Ask us privately

The cause asked to stay off a public page, so we share the details one-on-one. Reach out and ask — we will tell you who it is and how to give to them directly.
